Hi everyone, this might be a very easy question for all professional sound designer, so I hope you can help me.

I downloaded this sound and wanted to make it a way louder. But problem is, that it's clipping.

Can someone give me a hint what I can do to make it louder without clipping?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, a quick and very rough graphic equalisation: does this sound like you need?

Just apply and reproduce the settings in the Graphic Equaliser (10 bands) dialog box and listen.
The main problem is there is very little information beyond the 1khz range.

If it's clipping when you increase the "volume" then you are at the limit of simple maniplulation.
However it may be possible to make it seem louder by filters / equalisation / compression.

Please post a small 2 second sample and we can take a listen.

Best regards, Euan.

Hi Euan, thanks a lot for your answer. Yes I tried some effects that I know, but all of them didn't bring the result I want. Or probably I'm using them wrong... You can find the file in the attachment.
