Hi @animationlife

Hopefully @SteveG_AudioMasters_ doesn;t mind me chipping in to suggest that

some of the best Audition Youtube tutorials are from Mike Russell.

He's also a Adobe Community Professional

For instance: https://youtu.be/sBwKEBVeH-w

It's worth taking a look over his  whole channel.

Best regards, Euan.

Ah, I thought I'd mention Mike in case you hadn't found him.

You did say in an earlier post "As you know I am very new to Audition"

Best regards, Euan.

Interesting it may have been, but did you read the comments? There are several flaws in what he's doing, and he doesn't exactly start from a good point either - and that's just with his mic technique. If you listen to the audio, it's starting to pop - he's used no form of pop sheild at all, and it's pretty clear that he should have been - as several commenters have noted.

My next real problem with this is his rather cavalier and incorrect use of NR. Even if you're always using the same space and background noise, you are supposed to sample this first in the form of a noise print. You can save these and use them over and over, and that's what he should have done first. No sign of that at all in his 'tutorial' that I could see. And whilst it's correct to take NR in small steps (smaller than he did), he hasn't explained why, nor how to do it which involves re-taking the noise print - that's almost a video in itself, incidentally. You can look this up on the forum - it's been covered several times before.

His EQ settings are somewhat bizarre - the only good thing about that bit is that he did actually mention listening to what he was doing. Shame he couldn't hear what everybody else could though, isn't it?

The problem with recording all this to a favorite is that it assumes that everything you treat is going to come in sounding the same. He doesn't make the point that this is the case - which it absolutely is. There is no one-size-fits-all.

So, 'interesting'? Hmm... not in a good way, I'm afraid. There are better tutorials out there, definitely.

Dear SteveG.

I m very sorry. Actually, my friend told me to watch this Tutorial. As you know I am very new to Audition.  In the past whenever I had any issues, or questions regarding Adobe Audition, your answers were Correct, and you were very helpful, Therefore I totally agree with your opinion.

Thank You Very Much.

You don't have to apologise - it's not your fault. Unfortunately there are no restrictions on YouTube about who publishes what, or how accurate it has to be, as we keep discovering. Often, these videos are sometimes 'economical' with the truth, and one of the big problems with all of them is that they don't necessarily explain what it is you need to know - they are generic. This suits some situations rather better than others, obviously. If you want to look at videos to do with Audition, Jason Levine's (aka 'Adobe Jesus' 🙂 ) ones are the ones to go for, as a rule. He's been doing this for a very long time now...
