Massive Failure of Plugin's in Adobe Audition on my Computer.

Today I have tested most of the Plugins from Waves that I own, most failed in Latch Automation in Audition............ Five of the Audition effects have failed on my computer......Multiband Compressor, Singleband Compressor, Tube Modeled Compressor, listed under Special the Mastering Effect and Dynamics only 4 Waves Plugins Passed.......all of the V Series failed plus 12 others from Waves were failing when Automation is used in Latch Mode. .......the Computer occording Advanced System Repair Pro is in good condition and it's tested every night before being shut down, "the only thing is a Blue Screen a couple of times a week with" not less than equal I'll start the computer when I check a few things" based on the fact it's a new computer, only built it last year I DON'T WANT TO REINSTALL Windows 10 the fault was the same on the Oldest Version 12 which I installed, the same failure.

If  Michael from SuiteSpot can't solve the issue I'm in serious trouble with Audition. I emailed him two

Videos of the Fault and will have to think of a good reason to keep paying for Adobe Audition every month.

see ...."Automation not working as far as I can Determine"

I have found a good reason to keep Adobe Audition.......Audition has the ability to measure the noise floor of a Prism Lyra 1 at minus 103dB this is very closed to  the specifications published by Prism..... and Prism would use a very costly N&DM with a Caibration Certificate which is imposible for most people to own.  I built two Radio Stations in the 1980's the Oscillator I built from a kit by Dick Smith Electronics the First Harmonic at 60dB below the fundamental and the second station had an N&AD Meter that would only measure noise to -80dB so Audition is a good piece of...... Test Gear.....   that Oscillator is still working.

In the 1970's I worked as a Disc Jockey in Commercial Radio in Australia the first job from 6 PM  to Midnight.....Six Days a week playing music from Working Recording Engineers.

I'm not going to say it's solved but the Automation track is  working again

it was an operational thing on my part that caused the problem earlier tonight

now it's stable again.  Roger Mallison.

During the latest few day's I have checked Audition with this procedure, When a Plugin is inserted and you plan to automate the track do the following.......next to the Read Write box there's a small arrow to the left  click on it...... Show envelopes and the select box opens...click on show envelopes, then click on the Plugin ....A box to the right of the plugin opens...next click on all the parameters, a tick is inserted on the left hand side of each parameter....make sure you click on all the parameters.......this can be a lengthy process because the Abby Road TG mastering plugin has 114 parameters and requires 228 mouse clicks.... use the same procedure for multiple plugins when using the Rack Output. Hopefully this is an end to the issue. Audition has the ability to Automate all of the Plugins Parameters. I think what's need here is a Video........

I've just had a quick play with Latch mode and found that it correctly writes and reads the automation correctly.
Yours maybe returning to zero because that is maybe where the parameters started at and your 'playhead' has returned to that point on the timeline?

Maybe go back and open up the automation lanes (2nd clip below) and see if they have been drawn correctly on your PC

I have revisited your videos and (correct me if I'm wrong) you are trying to make adjustments to various FX parameters such that when you play your track back those parameter changes do in fact change as intended.
I think what you need to be doing is setting your automation track to "Write" then play your track and make whatever changes you need to your fx parameters.

Then set your automation track to 'Read' in order for those changes to be read.

Having done that the net result is as I mentioned previously in my email are changes to the fx parameter automation lanes which I prefer to do manually for accuaracy purposes (but that is just me).

I just like to say Thank You  to both Steve and Michael for their response but Michael I disagree

can I make a suggestion you post the videos on this page so everyone can see what's happening

in my computer In Latch mode the text book says that if you move the fader and then press stop

the fader will remain at the last destination point the you left it at, the fader in my Video was not

touched the video showed that only the start button was pushed by the mouse, the track was rewound

Latch was engaged,  start  was pushed again and the Equalizer was reset  along with the Compressor and

finally Latch was reset to Read  and the track restarted again as the PPM clearly indicates. I am not able to

post the video because Tiny Take would not give me access  to the file it sent to the cloud. that's why Micheal

I sent it to you so I suggest to clear up the matter Post the the Video on this page or give an email address where by

I can send  it to Adobe and show them what is happening. Steve Advanced Stem Repair Pro says the computer is in good shape and I was told the only way to fix the blue screen is to reinstall windows from an only line person

yet  they say they can fix this type of Problem  that's why I bought the Advanced System Repair Pro. STEVE the computer should be showing  more problems then it is and why is Reaper working in Automation mode ? that I

can't answer.........Roger Leonard Mallison

Seriously, this is your computer at fault, not Audition. If you are getting Blue Screens Of Death, then something's significantly  wrong with it.

I have passed those videos on to a couple of other experienced Audition users for their perusal and comment
