It's been posted here a few times, and I wish I could recall who gave up the solution.
But, it seems that anything newer than version 12 of Adobe Audition will progessively slow down as you make ripple deletes along a timeline.
It starts out almost normal and then, with each ripple delete, the wheels spin for a longer and longer time as the interface hangs. My last edit took 20 seconds. This is repeatable on both MAC and PC.
And, frankly, this kind of lag time associated with a commonly used tool makes this product practically unusable.
This a a severe bug which despearately needs attention.
