With my Adobe Adition CS6 Version 5.02 Build 7 it is not possible to mark multiple frequency regions with the brush tool.
Normally "Shift and left mouse klick" should work. What is wrong with my understanding?
Second Problem.
This is the german Version but the noise reduction frequency under the favorites menue is still 60 Hz.
The german frequency is 50 Hz. Is there any option I have to correct?
Thanks for any help.

I don't think you can select multiple frequency regions; you have to select and work on one at a time. (I've just checked this in CS6 and can find no way to select more than one region at a time.

Why not simply create/record a new favorite to operate at 50Hz?

Unfortunately the multiple area selection for the Lasso or Brush tools didn't appear until a later CC build of Audition.

Thanks for your reply. The help link of my programm is wrong and so I tried to get the manual from the Adobe web page. The Information I have is that it should work. But may be it is not so - awful. It is a lot of work to test the combination of different harmonic fiilter regions. And it could be easy if you can mark multiple frequency regions. May be it is my problem that I did'nt found any correct manual. But my opinion is that Adobe did'nt work correct. It should be a good idea to offfer the manuals for any Version on their web page.
The second problem 60 Hz instead of 50 Hz is then also a programming mistake of Audition. Of course you can filter manually. But if Adobe offer the easy way of filtering I expect that it will work worldwide. It is also a mistake. Now I have to check how many harmonic frequencies I must filter to get a good result. My expection is that Adobe had tested the programming point and found the best result for a basic application..
Thanks again for your help.

It's quite simple, really. Audition manuals leave a lot to be desired - there's no denying that. Somewhere there's a version comparison chart, but I'm not quite sure where that is now. What I do know though is where the correct manuals are for the earlier versions: Help documents for Creative Suite CS5, CS5.1, CS5.5, and CS6 applications (PDF and HTML) | Creative ....
As far as favourites are concerned, that's not a programming mistake at all. There is a small smattering of favourites by default that you might or might not want to use, but there are also thousands of other things you might want to do - and none of those are in it at all! The idea of having a few favourites in there already is to give you some idea of the possibilities, so that you can either modify them, or create your own - no more, no less.

Thanks for the link to the manual for earlier versions. That is what I was looking for. But the Audition - link (CS5; CS6) is with two browsers tested unreachable for me. The link offers an error.
It could be a good idea to have the chance for modifying favourites. I am not a professional user. But may be it is possible in future. I did'nt found any changing tools not yet.

You will have to upgrade to the newer CC version of Audition if you want to have the multiple Brush selection feature.
You can easily make your own Favorite for 50Hz hum removal. Open the DeHummer effect and select Remove 50Hz and Harmonics from the Presets dropdown. Then you just need to click on the Star icon and give it an appropriate name in the Save box that appears. Click OK and it will appear in the Favorites menu as your new Favorite.
