am in the middle of editing waveform a voice-over 90-minute file and suddenly when I hit the space bar the cursor snaps back a second or so and on occasion a whole para.  It has not done that before in hours of editing. Have I hit something accidentally. Anyone out there know, please.?

Have tried everything including re booting

Edit>Preferences>Playback and Recording has all of the options for changing this behaviour, but there's one other thing you should look at too - if you right-click on the Play button there's an option to return the play head to the start position upon stopping - sounds as if you might have accidentally activated this.
