My Focusrite Saffire is selectable but there is no audible input even when selected.

I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24. It is my default audio interface for my 2019 Imac with i9. I have gone through all the hardware settings. When I enable RECORD, even though the meters move on the SAFFIRE, there is nothing in Audition. I've tried just about everything. It works perfectly in Protools and Logic, but not Audition.
Thank you.

I figured it out!

If you can't record audio after installing macOS Mojave or later

After installing macOS Mojave or later on your Mac, you might not be able to record audio in apps like Logic Pro X, MainStage, GarageBand, Final Cut Pro X, or third-party audio and video apps.

After installing macOS Mojave or later, you might see an alert that says audio input isn't accessible when trying to record. Or you might not hear sound, see waveforms, or see audio meters move when recording. To record audio, allow the app to access audio inputs:

  1. Close the app you're using to record audio.
  2. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click Privacy.
  3. Click Microphone.
  4. Select the checkbox next to an app to allow it to access the built-in microphone on your Mac, an external USB mic, or the inputs on an external audio interface.
