Offline CLIPS on Mac

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently working on an important project on Adobe Audition and after I saved it and reopened the file to edit again I found clips that have a question mark and written on them 'offline'. I looked it up and I understand that the problem is related to space or something of that sort. My friend showed me how to fix it but her laptop is not a macbook so I don't understand how to solve this issue on my macbook laptop. I deleted stuff from my trash to clear up some space. Please let me know what I can do to fix this. Also, it there ANY hope to fix this without having to delete the offline clips?
