Creative Cloud is too overwhelming and expensive for podcasters. All we really need is 'Audition Lite', and some light video and photo editing software equivalent to Microsoft Clipchamp and Canva.

Does Adobe have any plans for a Podcaster's package in future?

We're a U2U forum that Adobe staff don't visit that often, and if they do, they generally aren't the ones who could influence any decision like that, I'm afraid. What you might like to try is putting a request here.

I've told Adobe a couple times that their prices are outrageous, especially when Microsoft can put out the entire Office Suite for $80/year.

They actually responded and said they had no plans to change their pricing plans.

If you want "Audition Lite," download Audacity.  It will do everything you need for podcasting and it is free.

If you feel that you need to pay for software, there is always Reaper.  It's something like $70 and has a slew of stuff to it.  Learning curve is pretty high, though.

This is commercial software. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that an amateur or podcaster might desire, but the brutal reality of the situation is that unless you can get those big-ticket users to want a facility added, it probably won't happen. And you could easily get pretty frustrated trying, whoever you are. I know that some of the developers want to add some stuff and they simply aren't allowed to - because corporate says no...

@Lighthope

There are a considerable number of "alternatives" to Microsoft Office.  I don't know of any alternatives to the complete Adobe CC Suite!

Just for your information: I happen to agree that the cost is too high, esepcially if, like me, you want/need only ONE app, but ...
