I am reviewing audio of an interview and correcting its transcript using Adobe CC Audition on a Mac. Since the audio can be difficult to understand, I need to listen to some segments multiple times. I know that I can use option+left arrow to replay sections from the last place I paused. Is there a way to move back and forth in small increments after I’ve hit pause?

The JK and L keys will let you do this - J goes backwards, K pauses again and L goes forwards. You can alter the speed of the playback by going to Edit>Preferences>Playback and Recording and look for the JKL Shuttle Speed settings, where you get three options.

Thank you, Steve! That's really helpful. Between the J key and the rewind arrow, this process is going much more smoothly now.
