Preview for waveform changes in Multitrack

Is audition have this feature? When dynamics effects added to effect rack or volume curve changed it will be great to see what it will do to waveform of a track, I trying to find such options in Audition but I failed (in Cubase it turned on by default)

Yes it has, but not for Multitrack view. No it isn't turned on by default because most of the time you don't need it. It's very easy to turn on though and yes, it will do what you want:

Nobody's ever asked for it in Multitrack view - it would clutter the screen up too much. But if you double-click on any file in your session, it will open in Waveform view and you will then be able to see what an effect your effect is having (but you have to apply it in Waveform to do this, obviously).

Of course the other reason that you don't have this in Multitrack view is that until mixdown, all effects are playback only, and don't affect the waveform, as such, until they are finally applied as a part of the mixdown process.

Yes it's true, but at least volume curve should change waveform of track in multitrack, it is very usefull feature.

as example of volume curve and static waveform, waveform prerender for volume change works in Cubase, and it's very helpful

Also, tracks have prerender options, I think it can be great additional to prerender of a track. It do process of render for every change anyway and create additional render results, I believe it just a question of which one waveform should be showed

Also great feature I will like is volume curves in Waveform view.

Audition has a prerender facility in Multitrack - that's what the lightning bolt does. If you use the Gain envelope and the preview monitor in Waveform view, you get volume curves visible. All the stuff you need is already there...

Not all, as I said previously I know about prerender, and believe it should render waveform of track too. But gain envelope will be great thing, thanks for mention it.
