It's happening because there's a space between the clips. You have to bear in mind that all you are doing here is replicating a bit of the timeline, and if those clips are separated on it, that's how they will appear if you attempt to merge them. The clips are only virtual - they aren't 'real' audio.

Hey, my problem is when I'm merging clips, Audition automatically creates that free space or silence as you can see on the video, but I don't know why it is happening.
