Question about frequency analysis window in Audition CS6

Just to be sure, the numbers alongside notes on the guide on the far right of the frequency analysis window are referring to octaves, right? A1 to A6 is a span of five octaves?

Yes - the number you get is the frequency (and note) of the highest harmonic.

And on the "Spectral Pitch Display" screen, are those numbers alongside notes, ranging from 1 to 10, octaves? (A1, C3, D5, etc ....)

Not quite. Remember that you can select to have either Frequency (0-20kHz) or Notes (A-A9) as your right hand scale in the Spectral Pitch display when fully zoomed out.
