Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter Not Working

Hello,

I'm fairly new to Audition, so please excuse me if this is a simple matter and I'm overlooking something obvious. I'm attempting to use a Rocksmith USB guitar adapter with Audition CC. The drivers are all up to date. When I go to the Audio Inputs section of Preferences, it shows up, but with an added "(Not working)". I've changed the sample rate, reinstalled the driver, etc, but to no avail. I'm using WASAPI drive class. My machine is a Win 10 x64 with 32GB RAM and Realtek High-Def audio, if that information is pertinent (and which works fine in terms of recording from the computer's microphone).

Thanks,

MP

Does it show up as working if you select one of the other Device Classes like ASIO or MME in Audition's Audio Hardware preferences?

Thanks for your reply. To answer your question, yes, it does work in MME (I have no ASIO option), but the lowest latency is 30ms, inadequate for recording against the drum track that's already on there. Interestingly, even though it says "Not working," I was able to record a sample, but thus far have been unable to do so while monitoring the drum track. I've tried a variety of input/output settings on the two tracks, but so far have had no luck. Obviously I have a lot to learn about the basics of the process, but in all my searching through Adobe's how-to pages and YouTube tutorials, I haven't been able to get the setup to work properly.

Oh, and not sure if it's supposed to be this way, but I notice that MME gives me two options under Audio Hardware: one for input and one for output, while WASAPI only gives me one. With MME, I'm able to record the guitar while monitoring the drum track but a) the 30ms latency makes it pretty much impossible, and b) in any case it only records/plays on the left channel, regardless of how I adjust the input/output settings on the track itself as well as in Channel Mapping.

Normally you will only get low latency with proper ASIO drivers. Does Rocksmith supply any? You could try ASIO4All but since that still uses the basic MME drivers, which it then converts to ASIO, it may not reduce the latency. However it is more adjustable than the basic Windows drivers. There is a lot of online chatter about Rocksmith and ASIO. This link may help you to set it up for better latency substituting Audition for Guitar Rig..
