I'm working with nature sounds where it can be helpful to adjust frequency levels. It requires some precise EQ'ing, so it's great how Audition lets us turn on grid lines at the frequencies labeled on the right side of the spectral display.
But my grid display also includes a set of lines whose purpose I can't figure out and that I'd like to hide. They don't seem to be correlated to any particular frequencies; they even slide around if I vertically resize the spectral display window.
Are they possible to hide? And do they serve a purpose?

I don't know why the extra lines are there, although I have a suspicion; this looks like a graphics anomaly. Definitely it should be one line per number displayed on the RHS. First thing to do is to check whether there's an updated graphics driver available. As for the visibility - you can either have them or not have them, but if you have them, you can relatively easily change the look of them. What controls there are are available in Edit>Preferences>Spectral Displays, and it's the top section.
