Shure 32K Mic Won't Record in Audition

I purchased a new Shure K32SL microphone and I can't get it to record with Audition. It's there but will not record - and the pre-amp is fine.  It is not the microphone as it will record in both Audacity and Garage Band. No problem recording in Audition with my Apogee.

Pretty frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Theresa

How is the signal getting from the mic into Audition? You mention a pre-amp. Isn't that then plugged into your Apogee interface? Which Apogee interface is it?

My Apogee is a separate USB mic which Audition works with. My Shure Condenser mic uses a Focusrite Clarett pre-amp with Thunderbolt.

I know this is basic, but have you pushed the 48v button on the front of the Clarett?
