Hi folks

Try to reproduce step by step:

1) New > Audiofile (i select SR 44100 \ Stereo \ BD 16) Ok
2) RM Click to level meter in bottom > select Meter Input Signal
3) Now, close (minimize) Audition window to take focus of any other program, and then back to Audition again.
4) Now, press Record button - you should see some being stuck (or freeze) instead start of recording, and repeat press of record button will cause some CPU activity without any locator movement\recording.

Please check it.

Added: Audition launched with admin. rights. (Win 10)

Okay, I've checked it - it works fine here, immediately. Yes I followed your steps - set it ready, minimised Audition, checked my email and then set the focus back to Audition, hit Record and it started immediately.

Thing is, a lot of people do things like this regularly, and if there had been any sort of a general issue with this, we'd have known about it by now. I suspect that there's something delaying the focus switch in your machine.

Steve hmm ok, just for be sure - do you really did not skip step #2 ? (this significant)

Because if i does all the same, but without selected manually "Inpur Meter Signal" mode - recording start without problem.

I will check this again on another machine. What message, if any, do you get in the bottom left hand corner of the Audition screen when this happens? Also, can you give more details of the audio interface you are using, if any - or is this built-in sound?

Ignore previous comment - I've found out how to reproduce this. I'll report it as a bug with reference to this thread.

(Now done.)
