Stretch and Pitch suddenly missing?

Hello,

I just recently installed Audition, and for a few days I was playing with the time stretch function. But this morning it suddenly seems to have disappeared - all I see now under "Time and Pitch" are "Automatic Pitch Correction" and "Pitch Shifter", neither one of which allows me to play with time.

Am I I missiing something? What happened to the "Stretch and Pitch" effect (if that's what it was called)?

You are indeed missing something, but it's very simple; you are currently operating in Multitrack mode, and the other options are process effects, and only operate in Waveform mode.

Thanks for your response, Steve - sorry, I should have mentioned that I am in fact operating in Waveform mode, not Multitrack mode, but I still don't have the desired effect.

That's because you are looking at the Effects Rack. You can only use real time effects from there. As Steve says the missing ones are all process effects that have to be accessed from the Effects menu, not the Rack.

I'M SUDDENLY MISSING TIME FUNCTION ALSO. WHETHER I TRY TO ACCESS TIME IN THE EFFECTS RACK OR THE EFFECTS MENU IT  LEADS ME TO THE SAME POP UP MENU BLOCK  THAT HAS THE TIME OPTIONS MISSING. I ALSO NO LONGER HAVE THE STOPWATCH FUNCTION ON THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF ANY CLIP. THE ODD THING IS I'VE BEEN ABLE TO ACCESS THIS BEFORE ON THE SAME COMPUTER WITH THE SAME SOFTWARE JUST A MONTH AGO!

YOU WERE RIGHT- IT'S BECAUSE I WASN'T IN WAFEFORM MODE
