When I switch menus or functions (ie: clicking the "play" > button, or switching between tracks) there is an auto generated piano note played.  It's super annoying and interferes with recording.  How does one turn that off?

This is in Audition 22.1.1

Thanks!

Because Audition is capable of being externally controlled by a MIDI controller - and indeed these control signals are bi-directional, every control can generate a MIDI event, even if no controller is present. In your system, you'll find that something (like Windows Media Player, but it's by no means the only app - VLC is another major culprit) is picking up these MIDI events and playing them as a note. You have to find that, and stop it.
