Updating to MacOS Sonoma has not saved tweeks

I recently updated my system software to MacOS 14 Sonoma. Prior to updating I was running Adobe Audition 23.6.1.3 without any problems. I had set up a number of tweaks to Audition and then saved a backup of the 23.0 folder (as instructed elsewhere) for backup purposes.

When I found out that all of my tweaks were gone, I tried to go into my backup 23.0 folder and reinsert those updates but I could not figure out how to use the application.xml file I found there. I have also heard elsewhere that there are a range of other files that should be used.

Any help on fixing all of this would be greatly appreciated.

Since restoring to Ventura MacOS 13 I still do not have my tweaks. What is going on? There is just a single xml file in the 23.0 folder, while I understand that there should be many files in that folder.
