Hi all, for a robot project I would like to make some Wall-E sounds. I've seen a tutorial ( #25 WALL-E Voice Effect :: Ableton Live - YouTube ) in Ableton Live, and an other one in Kyma ( I believe Ben Burtt was using this program ) https://jedsound.com/blog/?p=116 ) but was wondering if it could be done in Audition.

Greetz, Dennis.

Possibly but not without a lot of hard work and experimentation. Some of the work could be done with the various Time and Pitch effects available in Audition.

Thank for your quick reply. I've been playing with the "Stretch and Pitch" effect. Almost there, just need to find a way to make the highs to lows vary. Looks like the Wall-E sound goes high at the vowels and low at the consonants.

If you take a look a couple of the other Time and Pitch effects like Pitch Bender they show an envelope line on top of the waveform so that you can draw a shape to the pitch change during the selected part of the audio. This might allow you to change the sound on different parts of the dialogue. you may have to sue a combination of the effects to get what you want.
