waveform and levels are not in sync

Hi!

So I have noticed the following odd thing.

When I move the slider across the timeline then the levels top right and the audio that is played back are somehow "ahead" of the waveform.

As you can see in this screenshot, the levels peak, while at that point in the waveform there should be 0db.

Anyone an idea what is going on here?

I tested it on a different PC and the result is the same.

Interesting.  I just tested it here and, zoomed in a long way, I get the same effect.  Listening to it while I scrub, the meters are the accurate level with the waveform display slightly late.

My first guess was that it might be to do with snapping, but I turned off all snapping and the effect is still there.

My other guess is that it might be to do with video card in my computer and it's ability to draw exactly to time--but that's only a guess.

Hopefully a helpful developer might drop by and comment on this!

Question for you:  can you give us details of was Operating System and Video Card your computer has?

FYI, I checked with some Audition using friends at at least one, using Windows 7 64 bit does not see the same problem--his sync is spot on.  This is making us wonder if this could be related to either the OS or the video card/memory in use.

Interesting.  You and I are both on Windows 10 but you have a higher spec sound card than me so this could be a clue for the developers.
