Why arcing yellow lines on my podcast track? How do I make them go away?

I recently completed a 20 minute podcast, and noticed as I scrolled back to the beginning that Auditions seem to be adding these cross-crossing, arcing yellow lines over segments of the track.   Now it sounds like the narration is duplicated,  but not perfectly, over these sections. What am I doing wrong and how do I get rid of these tracks? I rerecorded this podcast three times now hoping that I don't repeat whatever is causing that, and it's getting very frustrating. I can't find good support for this software online, and when I post things here, very few people actually respond. There's got to be a better way to learn how to use this program. Please help me. I would sure appreciate it.

It looks like you might have accidentally duplicated the clip and then moved it slightly or that is a xfade - hard to tell.

You may be using the Move tool and hit the Alt key while moving a clip this will create a duplicate clip which means that one clip will be trying to xfade with the one on top
