Windows update causes echo/reverb

Same problem last year. On the phone with Dell for 6 hours to get that fixed.

Two hours into it now, they can't fix.

Anybody else experience this?

Thanks in advance.

Causes echo/reverb with what? We'd need rather more information than you've provided, I'm afraid...

Recorded files gave an echoey/"in a tunnel" sound to my recordings. ONLY in Audition, not if played, say, through the Edge player. The same issue happened last year with a Windows update. Screwed up the audio drivers. 6 hours off and on with Dell tech support. This was the same case as well. At least this time the tech support only last about 2 hours because I knew what the issue was. Echo removed when they took over my computer.

Just wondered if anyone else had encountered this but guess not.

Go into Preferences and make sure that Smart Monitoring isn't enabled - that can cause the 'in a tunnel' syndrome:

So basically, take the check out of that box.
