Dear Adobe, I think Adobe Audition have all the possibilities to be an excelent DAW, but the only feature that's missing is the MIDI support. I think it can be the most powerful DAW, simple, fast and perfect. So please Adobe add it on the features, because we need it and i think you too.
I't getting annoying that this popular issue is still not addressed by the coders. I've been subscribed for years and I'm wondering what is taking so long for a basic function of a DAW to be available in Audition.
And the fact that Audition used to support it but took it away... wtf?
why is Audacity able to record pc playback as soon as I open it with one click, but I cant seem to get Audition to record PC playback even with virtual audio cables installed? It is ridiculously complicated to make that happen, even if I use the same I/O settings as audacity nothing works, It worked briefly with audition using VB audio cable as the input output device, and then it stopped? meanwhile Audacity just recorded with no fuss. and I was able to control output volume to my headphones. I may have to reinstall my realtek drivers cause I dont understand how it was working and now it does not, but I am really confused as to why Audacity just works for free, and Audition does not? exactely what am I paying for , because it seems like headaches and frustration isnt a good deal....
Im going to the new Presonus DAW. I don't have time to waste by using 2 daws because you guys are too old school to support VSTi. It has already become industry standard.
No matter if Adobe Audition will not be part of Adobe CC anymore as long as it is still a subscription base and has midi feature, built in virtual instruments and can open 3rd party vst plugins, piano rolls, I’ll go back to adobe audtion. Editing audio in Adobe Audition is so much fun those days when I wasn’t using midi instruments in my music creation. How much more if they include these features. And please include session views like ableton with scene mode so that we can use it in live. And also a features that we can use it for tracks cues and guides like ableton where we can load multitracks.com files.
PS: It’s ok if you implement a one time payment if it needs to separate it from Adobe CC apps.
Hi guys, How can you improve Adobe Audition? 1) MIDI. 2) Group of tracks, with the possibility of a turn-off, change colours, in and outputs for a group, a track to make part of different groups, etc. etc. Use the bus to make groups is not the same! 3) Improve some natives plugins from Audition. Like Dynamics Process, where the graphics points and the lines with the ratio and thresholds values are not linked. If I change the points on the graphic, this changes the number on the lines, but I can't make it in the inverse sense. The solution for this is maybe one or two lines of code, guys. And in the limiter position, the line in the graphic go under the threshold value and don't change the name to "limiter". The gate position is blocked in the threshold value, but maybe to change the name to "gate" in the line. Please, take a look to the file here up-loaded. Best regards
Its really is time to make Audition a proper official DAW for Adobe. Many professionals and non-professionals can benefit Dynamic Link to compose music in Audition and come back. Adding (ie, MIDI, VSTi support at this point is essential and one feature that is definitely missing. Also it seems like a simple add on.
At least have internal / external clock control via midi so we can ***** the playback start and stop of Audition CC with other computers or sequencers. Audition 3 had this feature which made it easy to sync equipment.
I installed Adobe Audition only because I thought it had MIDI support. When I found out that Adobe didn't have any application that uses MIDI, I was genuinely surprised.
With the best video on photo editing tools, you would expect Adobe to have a music-making software that uses MIDI by now.
I was a little confused at first, because I thought MIDI is Standard in EVERY DAW. Without MIDI ... is Audition a DAW at all or what is here the story behind that? Also There are Hardware controllers like PaletteGear aka Monogram, Loupedeck, Loupedeck CT and other Tools that communicate over the MIDI over USB with the computer. But without that MIDI Support its very frustrating. The question should be WHEN will that basic MIDI Support will be in Adobe Audition?
There would be a ton of benefit from MIDI for two specific purposes.
First is for instrument input (ie notes, mod wheel, pitch bend, etc.)
Second is for controlling the Audition interface. Look at Logic's Controller Assignments and Smart Controls tools, or Cubase's Generic Remote and VST Quick Controls tools for examples. These make it really simple to link a MIDI CC command to a parameter in the DAW. It would be amazing to expose the Essential Sound panel controls to MIDI CC control via a MIDI learn tool.
And even more amazing would be that Adobe would pick marketing shares and we ”adobe cloud users” could stay in adobe world, maybe some clever copy paste between ae/premiere/audition and well be happy.
Guys, hold your breath... Adobe Audition actually had MIDI and VST support back in the days. I actually enjoyed composing little songs in it. It had some quirks but it really wasn't that bad, some things i even liked better than in other DAWs. All they needed to do was to fix some minor but stupidly enraging things (like make selecting notes and selecting time range two separate things) and to introduce midi clips (there were only midi tracks) and i would never switched to other DAW.
PLEASE! midi and VST-Instruments They were not an issue/missing in the early days of Audition... Why do we still/now lack this important feature?!? Even if you are not a composer these tools are so essential for sound design and certain virtual foley effects for film/video/tv post production. - Urgently needed.
