Air Gapped DAW and Audition CC

I've been using CoolEdit Pro and then Audition for years on my various DAWs. Presently I use CC5.5 on a machine which is not attached to the internet.

It's time to start building another DAW and will again keep it free from the interwebs, except for the initial installs and necessary upgrades. Installing win10 64bit more than likely.

Will the new version of Audition CC require continual internet connection when in use? Or can the new version function without the cloud connectivity on an air gapped system?

Thanks

My understanding is that periodic logins are required, although you'd need the developers to confirm the details. But we do know, for instance, that you can take your laptop into the middle of a field to do some editing without any immediate need for the software to make contact with Adobe, yes. But there's no way that it will ever be completely contactless - that's the nature of the rental model.

    Hi StanO,

Will the new version of Audition CC require continual internet connection when in use?

No, however, this doc describes how often you need to connect: Internet connectivity, offline grace period, and reminders | Adobe Creative Cloud apps

    Thanks,
    Kevin
