Audition CC Noise Capture Noise Reduction not applied to entire track

Hi I have been having this issue for a while. When I capture a noise print and use the reduce noise effect it works in preview. I can also select Noise Only to hear the effect. So far so good.

If I apply the effect to a small portion of the audio clip - 5 seconds selected and apply, it works. But if I select the entire file and apply is does not change anything the noise remains. So it appears to only apply to small portion of the audio file that are selected.

This problem appeared in one of the 2018 Auditions. I am Mac 10.12.6 with Audition 11.0.0.199.

Again I select some noise, capture print, preview is good, apply effect to whole audio clip, no change. Apply to small selected portion of audio clip - works.

Anyone else?

    It works perfectly on this PC.  The only problem I ever had with it was me.   I'd select a shortish segment of the clip to capture the sample.  Then I'd apply it to what I thought was the whole track but which was actually just the section I'd highlighted.  Good times.

    When you apply the effect to the whole clip, is it highlighted?

    I'll do some tests next time I have the issue and see if it's a setting in the filter or user error versus the actual filter. It seemed to be related to the length of the selection. Small sections worked, but if the entire file was selected it did not.

    Works OK on a whole file here ion a PC with Audition CC 2018 v.11.1.1.3. How long is the whole file? I believe that Mac Audition version numbers aren't fully equal to PC ones but I think that you should be on at least v. 11.1. So maybe it will be worth making sure that you have the latest Mac version installed and see if that works OK. if you have the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app installed it should make sure that you are all up to date with the latest versions.
