Audition Won't Record Audio on Mac Mini (2018)

Question

I just set up my new Mac Mini (2018) and Audition audio hardware settings appear to be setup normally. My interface is working fine but audition will not record any audio. It goes through the usual recording process but no levels show up and there's no audio being inputted into Audition even though my interface/mic is chosen as the default input. Any ideas? Everything seems to operating normally other than Audition just has zero audio showing up while recording.

After doing some more digging, I found the solution. It's a new Apple security feature. Very simple solution to the problem, once you figure out what the problem is.
