Question

Clip Gain -96db Shortcut

I'm looking to create a keyboard shortcut to reduce a selection of audio to -96db. I keep trying to create a favorite, then assign the favorite to a hotkey, but it doesn't work. I've been seeing people linking to How to reduce gain in a selected area with a hotkey? but it links to nothing in particular. Please help!

As I'm writing this, I managed to figure out a workaround of applying a hard limiter to -96db and it worked - is there a better way?

A quick solution is to edit one of the existing favorites - I used the 'normalize to -3dB' one (that I think is one of the basic ones and not one I added...). Open it to edit, and double click on the first line. Chance -3dB to -96dB and you've got it - albeit with the wrong name. Or is it just the key assignment you're having trouble with?
