Favourites Window Missing

Hi everyone,

I’m currently running Adobe Audition CS6 Version 5.0.2 Build 7 and we cannot find the Favourites Window to save ourselves!

We’ve seen online tutorials with a Favourites window so we know it exists, but we can’t find it at all, let alone dock the window in our workspace to quickly apply commonly used effects.

I believe we should be able to open it by going to the Windows tab and selecting “Favourites” just like you would “Effects Rack” or similar, but Favourites is not there!

Can anyone please help? It’s driving me bonkers!

I'm afraid that you are mistaken about this. Whilst favourites existed in CS6, they were still in the development stage, and the Favourites Window, as such, didn't exist in that version. CS6 was relatively early in the dual-platform re-wite program, and not everything by any means made it into the early versions. Hey Steve,

Thanks so much for your prompt reply and for sharing that link. I greatly appreciate your help, but the answer is a real shame!

I can still access Favourites in CS6 via the dropdown menu, but I was hoping for a 'quick access' option such as the Favourites window in (what you've subsequently taught me) is the later verison.

Do you, or anyone else, have any other suggestions on how to achieve something similar to this (other than shortcuts)? Or do I just have to stump up for a cloud-based subscription?

The beauty of CS6 is that we've got a perpetual licence and we only need the program for farily basic editing - I really don't need all the updates, except that is a Favourites window!!

    Thanks again for your help.

I'm not aware of any method other than shortcuts, I'm afraid.
