Hello,

I need help with separating music from a movie trailer, I have looked up videos on how to but none are showing the results that I so desire. Could some one give me advice on what I can do or let me know if I have to go through another app in order to separate the music from the rest of the trailer? Specifically the trailer is the new power rangers movie trailer, and I am trying to take out the Kanye West song but leave in the rest of the lines that the characters say.

Unfortunately you are attempting the impossible with any known audio software. I suspect that the normal method of removing the vocal (and any other centrally positioned instruments) as for Karaoke won't work here because the vocals will be in the same place as the voice over that you would like to extract. You can't unbake a cake I'm afraid.

I thought as much; so is my best option to just get rid of the audio entirely and then try to recreate it? thank you for the assistance

You mean this one? Power Rangers (2017 Movie) Official Teaser Trailer – ‘Discover The Power’ - YouTube

Unless you can find the same scenes in the movie that were used to cut this trailer, you're not going to be able to remove all the trailer-added sound effects and music from it. Better to recreate the dialogue.
