Question

I want to hear reverb tails after hitting stop.

Back in the before times, while mixing multi-track tape through a mixer with a reverb unit on and aux send, when playback was stopped, the reverb tail would continue on. This made it nice to really hear the decay before mix down. I've recently moved to Audition from Nuendo 2.0, which did this nicely. I'm using some work at home time to teach myself. My editing game is coming along but when this crisis is over, I hope to be back to remote recording classical music. I have my reverb on a buss and can automate the reverb in and out fine, but having this feature in Audition would be excellent. I've clicked pre/post fader on the track and buss channel but no. Am I missing something?

No you aren't missing anything; it's not an option. Personally I think it's a bit strange, and definitely a hang-over from when we used remote reverbs, and now I've got completely used to everything actually stopping when I hit the space bar!

You could put it in as a feature request, but I'm reasonably sure that it would come a long way down the priorities list.

Ugh. Thanks for the help Steve. I've put in for a new laptop at the radio station I work at. If that happens, it'll be Windows 10 and I'm pretty sure Nuendo 2.0 won't fly. So for now I'll enjoy my old-timey reverb tails.
