Problems importing old .ses files in Audition CS6

Hi,

I have some old .ses files from an earlier project I did in 2005. Now when I try to open them in Audition CS6, I only get an error saying: "We were unable to open this file using any of the currently available importers. It is either corrupt or using an unsupported format."

I have checked the option in Media & Disk Cache saying: "Enable DLMS Format Support", but it doesn't help.

I'm not sure what version of Audition I used back then.

Is there any way I can solve this?

Open the session in the old ADOBE and save it as as .xml then open it in  new ADOBE, in my case i did it from ADOBE 3.0 to ADOBE AUDITION CS6.

You can do that for some versions but from memory you lose any effects you may have used in the session.

I don't think the OP knows which version he used and some early versions (especially CEP) that used  ses files did not have that ability to save as xml.

Thanks! Have you tried it yourself? Does it work?

No, I don't need to - I'm better organised than that!

But Suitespot, who wrote it, is a regular here, and if there are any issues at all, he's very helpful - so whatever, it's not a problem.
