Transferring a project from Audition to iMovie

Hello.

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch, mid 2012, Mac OS Sierra: Version 10.12.5 and I have a question regarding Audition CC. I currently working on a project that involves adding soundtrack to a video movie trailer and that part worked out just fine. The problem is, every time I attempt to save my project in Audition and transfer it to iMovie, the file is greyed out. I tried saving the project as a "Save As" but the only format it offers to save it is ".sesx". I also attempted to save it by exporting as: File > Export > Multitrack Mixdown > Entire Session. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. I even attempted to use WinX DVD Ripper for Mac as a way to convert it into an MP4, with the same result. Grrrrrr!!!! This is very frustrating considering I put a lot of hard work into this.

Is there some way to save my project in Audition and then transfer it to iMovie or is this an option that Audition does not offer? If it's the latter, am I better off just working on my project entirely on iMovie?

Have you opened your movie complete with video into Audition to work on it with the picture playing with the sound? What happened when you tried to Export the Multitrack Mixdown? Did Audition save an .wav audio file of the Mixdown for you?

Actually, it worked, I just didn't see the file. Thanks a bunch!
