As simple as the subject.. please.. bring it back! ![]()
Adobe Output Module was an essential tool in Bridge, possibly the key feature to show people why to use Bridge.
Any good news in the near future?
L.
To add the Adobe Output Module to Bridge CC, please follow the directions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
We have repaired and updated the files to correct an issue where the panel would appear blank if you did not have Bridge CS6 installed.

Sort of related - when working in inDesign CC, does anyone know how, in the links panel, when I choose "Reveal in Bridge", it'll take me to Bridge CS6? Actually right now it doesn't seem to be working at all.

You might want to drop this question in the dedicated inDesign Forum:
http://forums.adobe.com/community/indesign
You can use Bridge CS6 in ID CC with Browse in bridge, you only have to activate Bridge CS6 and have it open, then ID CC chooses Bridge CS6
But MiniBridge and the link panel seem to be version specific, you can't use MB CS6 with ID CC and since MB is the most logical route to place files in ID you have to use Bridge CC. When using CC version for both it should work btw, if not try resetting preferences of both BridgeCC and IDCC

Thanks - I do at the moment have Bridge CS6 open and IDCC, but I really want to use it from the Links panel.

Make sure in Bridge preferences/Startup Scripts there is a checkmark for Indesign so they can communicate.

Aha! Thank you - startup scripts all seem to be communicating with CS6 versions, can I link it to CC versions?

Bridge CC should have its own startup scripts to communicate with CC apps. Make sure you are running Bridge CC rather than Bridge CS6. Only one version can run at same time.

Sorry - I didn't make it clear, but I specifically want to use CS6, because of the output module which they've so idiotically removed from CC

Then you will have to use the version of Indesign which communicates with CS6. If this is not possible you might contact the Bridge Scripting forum and see if there is a startup script that can communicate from Indesign CC to Bridge CS6.

This thread is really wandering around many issues.
How can you unsubscribe to a thread?

Uncheck box in Action in upper left. May have to go to Your Stuff in upper right hand corner. Think there are 2 places you have to uncheck. I never use e-mail.

Hi Curt
Thanks, the answers was right in front of me 🙂
BTW: I'm as annoyed as many others about this cut off - of the output ability in Bridge. But I have no clues as how to get Adobe to listen - they simply don't care.

So, can I turn off email notofocation for this thread and keep for other threads?
I believe that you can do so per discussion. Just visit this thread using the link at the bottom of the email. Then you have to sign in (There is a longstanding problem Adobe Forums don't keep signed in or remember your settings, I have to click 3 times on the sign in to return, hence I always try to use email)
If you are signed in you see the option to stop notification in the thread, if you visit the main page there is the same button and you won't receive any mails at all if you stop notification.
And for what it is worth, I have Apple Mail but I believe other mail apps have the same option to create a rule. Just create a rule with the email address in it and create a new folder to move all those mail to. Keeps your mail account sorted.

The pain appears to be almost over. The AOM download should be available on this site:
http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
but I can't get the downloads themselves yet because the error message 'Sorry, this page is not available' appears, I will try again later. Please let us know if anyone succeeded in downloading the AOM module and managed to install it ![]()

Yes! IT WORKS! Sorry for shouting, but the lack of this feature has been a thorn in my side since upgrading.
Installation process is a bit of a pain, but minor. And it all works.

Thanks for this advice, I've been waiting for this.
Unfortunately for me: it displays a blank output module, even if I follow both the suggested solution steps (on Mac).
Will retry and won't give up.... ![]()

I downloaded the Mac version, installed per instructions the folder with Output Module in the root library (not the user library!!) with asking for admin password.
Then copied the new workspace file to the give location. Restarted Bridge and all is well again ![]()
Be sure to have the correct places per the manual and only one workspace file for Output Module in the workspace folder. Also double check if you have installed in the Bridge CC folder and not CS6.
I use MacOSX 10.8.4 btw.
And remember, when in trouble, first thing to try is holding down option key while restarting Bridge and choose reset preferences, then try again.

Very strange, I'm sure I followed all the steps in the right way. New Bridge CC (re-installed as well), permissions checked, files in the correct folders, no misplacing, OSX 10.8.4, removed preferences, removed temporary workspace file...

I'm sorry to hear that, a bit difficult to understand why not because on my system it does work.
There are a few things left to try.
Also delete the Bridge6 Plist file (com.adobe.bridge6.plist) from the preference folder in the user library before again reset the prefs voor Bridge with option key on restart.
Download the zip file again and install it again, overwriting the older files.
Also reset prefs and workspaces in CS6 Bridge.

The link is actually working here now, and a Bridge update via CC desktop app is not required (at this time). It's a manual installation of the required files. Will try again cleaning everything. BTW, a collegue has just reported the same issue.

Hi,
The download links off the KB doc (http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html)
were fixed and should be working again. Sorry for the broken links.
AFAIK, the OM package will only be available as a download and manual install. I don't believe there's any plans to puh this using the CC update mechanism.
regards,
steve

for me, too: it displays a blank output module, even if I follow both the suggested solution steps (on Win7 Pro / 64Bit).
