Bridge

The masking tools in the latest version of acr are basically unusable. One swipe with the brush tool creates the spinning wheel of doom, which leads me to force quit. Even with a simple radial gradient you can see the mask struggling to form. When you undo an edit, it takes a second or more to undo/redo. Before anyone suggests it's my computer, it isn't (M2 Max, 64GB). This has only been happening since the last update about a week ago.

I’m having a problem editing the Document Title metadata in my Photoshop psd file, so I decided to try  it in Bridge. I’m not familiar with Bridge, and I’m having a problem figuring out how to actually edit the metadata. I would appreciate it if someone could help me. I can get to the metadata pane of my file in Bridge. But I can’t seem to find a way to actually see the data in the document title field or edit it. Here’s a screenshot of what I am seeing. I see the field to edit, but I can’t seem to figure out how to edit it. Nothing I click on seems to bring up the area I can edit. Bridge 2026 (16.0.3) stopped working on all three of our MAC computers at the same time. Working on Tahoe 26.4.1. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge, have reset preferences and emptied cache, deleted startup scripts, all to no avail. Sometimes we can open a folder of images in Bridge, but get the spinning colored ball anytime we try to do something, so then we have to force quit. Sometimes we get the spinning ball immediately upon Bridge opening. Sometimes we can open a folder of images but only get gray boxes, so there are multiple ways Bridge is not working correctly. Also having the same issue now with Bridge 2025. Any fixes out there?

It appears my "scripts" are broken in Bridge 2026 Version 160.321. When I Edit-Preferences-Startup Scripts I see the usual items checkmarked. But when I "Reveal Scripts in Explorer" there is nothing there. Zero *.jsx files.C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge 2026\Startup Scripts\ = EMPTYI discovered this trying to Auto Stack a batch of exposure bracketed images. The Auto Stack function was missing. I've done this many times, but this was the first time in 2+ years. So it appears the issue came with some Bridge or Photoshop feature version updates.Searching my Windows 11 system I found an AutoStacks.jsx file in:C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge (Beta) Extensions\AutoStacks.jsxThis, even though I had uninstalled Bridge Beta long ago after a brief test. So, I simply copied that file to the empty Startup Scripts folder for Bridge 2026, and now Auto Stacking is available and works. Edits to every other type of metadata, e.g., IPTC, save to the original JPGs when applied, but this doesn't appear to be working for GPS metadata. Those fields, e.g., Latitude and Longidute, appear as edited within Bridge, but nowhere else. And within Bridge, the edits vanish when the cache is cleared on the parent folder. Is there something I'm missing about how to edit or delete location info in the Metadata window in Bridge?

I love Adobe, but for the company to have released software like the latest version of Bridge is astounding. I will happily eat crow if the issues I’m having are mine alone, but as best I can determine, this program is now unusable. Apple M4 MBP - 128 GB - OS Sequoia 15.7.3 -  All I’ve ever needed to do w Bridge is drag a folder of images in and sort them via tags. Sometimes create a contact sheet - in and out, continue my productivity. Now, images seldom drag and drop. I often have to rename the folder they’re in to something like “To Upload”. I’m option-opening the software continuously to reset it and clear the cache. I’ve adjusted Performance an dFile Handling Preferences multiple times to adjust File Processing Size limits. I’ve disabled startup scripts multiple times.  If I get files loaded in through trial and error, the previews will go away if I apply a tag. I make my living with Adobe software. Hi!I checked the box in “edit/preferences/content” for content credentials.When i go into the export menue, i can not find the option to apply content credentials to my photos any more. I set to jpg in my export preset. Source are dng files. It worked before. My collegues have the same issue. I tried version 15 instead of 16 but it didnt help. Its on Win11.Any ideas?Thanks in Advance!

Is this due to lack of space on my Starch drive and or my main hard drive?

I have a bunch of camera photos that did not get GPS coordinates while shooting. I want to manually add the coordinates in Bridge but I can’t seem to do this. First off, I am aware that Bridge uses a specific format for its format because I keep getting this: I have the information and format that is required and can add one coordinate, Lattitude, I can't just click in the Longitude section to add that info without getting the above warning. Is there a way to turn that off so I can add the second coordinate? Is there a better way to do this?  I don’t really know why this should be so difficult. Your help would really be appreciated. Hello everyone,I have recently transitioned from Windows 11 to a Mac Mini M4, using a Mac keyboard and a Keychron M6 mouse. On Windows, I relied heavily on FastStone Image Viewer because of its speed and intuitive navigation.Since moving to macOS, I have tried XnView; while it allows for mouse wheel navigation, I found it has other limitations compared to what I’m used to in FastStone. I would much prefer to use Adobe Bridge, but I am struggling with the mouse controls.Specifically, I would like to use the mouse wheel to scroll to the next or previous image. Currently, it seems that the mouse wheel, along with the left and right mouse buttons, are all defaulted to zooming/enlarging functions. Having three different physical inputs dedicated to the same magnifying action feels redundant for my workflow, and I would much prefer to reassign the wheel to navigation.Is there a setting I am missing to enable "Mouse Wheel to Next/Previous Image" in Bridge? The color labeling system is not working properly. When in Camera Raw, you can click numerals 6-9 to label by color and it shows properly in Camera Raw. Once you click “done” and go back to Bridge, the image is not color labeled. It is labeled white. When trying to sort by color, you have to right click on the image and then click select, second, approved, review, etc to get a color. Then when filtering the images, there is a separate list by color and a separate list by approval status. Please change it back to how it was.

Bridge launches normally however is very very slow and does not work properly when not connected to the internet. It nowhere states that Bridge must be connected to the internet to work properly. I am not talking about launching or verifying subscription. Is there some setting that I must change?

A very simple action, like ‘Auto’ upright, takes so many seconds to work that it freeze Bridge at all.It happens with every picture I try to work on.Please fix it or go back to previous release!

I would really like to copy / paste keywords. I have several photos from a fitness shoot where I separate keywords by amenity, equipment, exercises, etc. Many times, we circle back and do the same exercise as early just later in the day in a different location. I like to view my photos in the Filmstrip, so I don't see the exercises we'll be repeating in a grid view.Is there a way to copy / paste keywords so that I don't have to click the boxes for each individual photo as I scroll through the photos in Filmstrip view?

I have tried to open Adobe Bridge with a particular directory. Bridge does not handle directories have space inside their path or name as command line parameter. Surrounding directory name with qoutes, double qoutes also does not help. It looks, Bridge handles qoute as part of file/directory name and does not truncate quotes.

I ran out of disk space on an external hard disk, so I moved a large folder of photographs to a different external disk. Now photographs that were in the original place are lost in an important bridge collection. I can relocate them one by one in Bridge using the “Fix” dialog, but there are hundreds to fix. Question 1: Is there any way to to point Bridge to the new location of the folder and tell it to fix all pointers to photographs in that folder? Question 2: I am solving my storage problem by buying new larger disks. How can I avoid the same problem when I move all photographs to a new disk? Thanks,Phil
