The last few iterations of bridge (13.0.2 down through 2022 versions) are essenrtially unusable on mac (I cannot speak for all macs, but for me it's on big sur and montery). I know I've read of this "flickering" issue before, but I'd like to know if there's been any news on that front or if it's been reported. When trying to use bridge to view raw files, upon hitting spacebar to view full screen, the image begins to kind of flickr. Not a screen issue, it seems more like an effect issue - like the initial flickr you get when viewing full screen gets stuck and just keeps blinking which makes it impossible to view images. The other issue that I've heard before and, again, am wondering about, is the excessive cpu usage of bridge 2023 (on mac, at least). While running bridge and with no tasks going on or previews being built, the mac's fan will get loud and the activity monitor will show that bridge is using like 500% cpu. Between those 2 issues, and the fact that delete and fill is missing from 24.1, I'm seroiusly starting to wonder if customers are being listened to as I've seen the first issue I've mentioned going back over a year and the cpu one ever since bridge 2023 came out. As a professional who relies on Adobe and has an all apps plan, it's kind of embarrasing that these issues go unchecked for as long as they do. I understand the delete and fill one is recent and it's been the holidays, but I'm now at the point where I have to navigate my raw files via finder as I cannot rely on Bridge. Hoping there's any news on any of these - thank you.
For reference, I'm on an Imac Retina 5k, 4ghz quad-core intel i7, 32gb ddr3, os x 11.6.6

Hi @kleerp ,
We're happy to announce the release of Adobe Bridge Beta (13.0.2.630). This update includes the fix for this issue. Also, this Beta release includes several bug fixes done in the 13.0.1 public release. For details, see Fixed issues.
Steps to install/update
Install: Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app and select Beta apps in the left sidebar of the Apps panel. Then select install for your beta app.
Update: Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app, click on Update in the left sidebar of the Apps panel and Check for updates. Then click update for your beta app.
Let us know if this Beta release resolves the problem for those affected, and share your feedback.
Thanks,
Shubham Verma

Whoa - crazy timing and thanks for letting me know! I keep my apps up to date (except PS's latest version because of the delete and fill issue), but did not have Bridge Beta installed - just the normal release of Bridge.
So this fix is in the beta version? It's confusing because both the normal release and beta both have version 13.0.2 listed as their latest versions - so I'm not sure if there's a difference, but I'm installing the beta one now to give it a go. If it works then that's fantastic! Thanks for letting me know!

There are two "new" releases; one is a beta, and one is a formal release.
The beta (white icon) is 13.0.2.630 and can be found in the Beta tab of the Adobe Creative Cloud (ACC) application.
The formal release (black icon) is 13.0.2.638 and can be found in the Updates tab of ACC.
It can be safe to assume that the formal release has everything that the beta has fixed and more. I suggest that you just get the formal release.

I can also attest to the excessive cpu usage of Bridge 13 (including the latest 13.0.2 version) on my 2018 Mac Mini (3.2 GHz 6-core Intel Core i7, Intel UHD Graphics 630, 16 GB 2667 DDR4 RAM, OS 13.1 Ventura). Upon just opening Bridge 13 and not doing anything other than viewing a folder of image file thumbnails (e.g., even a folder with 20 or fewer images and without enlarging any of them) Apple Activity Monitor will show Bridge using 300-500% cpu and the processor temp will immediately rise from an typical average of 110-120 degrees to 200+ degrees. This will continue even if I leave (not quit) Bridge 13 to work in non-Adobe apps.
Because of this and other buggy behavior I have experienced in Bridge 13 since its initial release - and already reported by others in this support forum (e.g., sudden crashes when performing routine tasks) - I have reverted to using Bridge 2022 (version 12.0.3.270) which does not exhibit this instability and excessive cpu usage and allows me to get my image culling/rating/organizing work done.
Can anyone help me understand what may be causing this excessive cpu usage in Bridge 13 and which I have experienced on Macs before from time to time in prior versions of Bridge going back many years? Is there some Bridge setting/preference that will correct or resolve this issue? Or is it a bug that Adobe is aware of and working on a fix for? Thanks.

Still having the same problem of massive cpu usage and flickering on some files with Bridge 13.03.693 updated yesterday. I have given up using Bridge 2023 and am using the Beta version with no problems. I can't see why Adobe can fix the problem with the Beta version but not with Brisge 2023.
