Hi Martin,

Thanks for reaching out! We are sorry for the trouble with Bridge’s performance.

We are here to help you out. Could you please confirm the storage location of the images that you are browsing through, are they stored on internal drive or external hard drive/network drives? Does this happen with all the documents or just a particular set of photos or folders? Please share the system info of your macOS computer from choose Apple icon menu > About This Mac along with the info under the Storage tab.

Please try the following steps to try and optimize Bridge for better performance.

  • Go to Adobe Bridge > Preferences from the top left, near the Apple Icon.
  • Go to Advanced and try enabling Use Software Rendering option if it is not enabled. Please restart and compare the overall performance again.

Please let us know if this helps you out!

Regards,

Sameer K.
