Hi Adobe,
Adobe Bridge 2023 often crashes running the latest OS Ventura.
It never did this on OS Big Sur.
I often access an external HD where I keep all my work.
Bridge is not consistant. It opens some files and craches a lot on others.
Is this a MAC system problem, or an Adobe problem?
I'll like to know if other users are having the same problem.
Mark

Hello to all,
Yes! I am having the same crash problem. Just restarted, which was no help. An answer to Mark's question about Mac or Adobe would be helpful.
Thanks,
Catherine

Hi, @bohemiagirl & @Fireworks Design
Unfortunately, it's very hard to be absolute about things like this. Since version 13 came out, I've had one, maybe two crashes, and I use it daily. When 13 came out, I was on an iMac 5K (2015). Now I'm on a Mac Studio. I've run 13 on both OS 12 and OS 13 (now 13.3.1).
IF this was an Adobe issue, I'd have far more crashes than the one or two I've had. But I cannot point to either of your computers and say, "Well, the problem is yours/Apple's!"
I'd like to try something if that's OK with either or both of you. Whenever my computer acts dumb, I run an application called "~ Cache Cleaner." (Whenever there's an OS update, they update the name of the application. So, for example, it may be "Big Sur Cache Cleaner." Then "Ventura Cache Cleaner." [So that you know, it's always backward compatible. So, Ventura CC will repair Big Sur."]
I would like you to go to https://www.northernsoftworks.com/ and download Ventura Cache Cleaner. You can use this for 10 days as a free test. (Until you pay for the software and get your user code, you will have to wait about 10 seconds before using the software at full capability.)
After starting the software, go to the Maintenance tab, click "All," then click "Run."

You may be asked to reboot your computer at this point; it varies.
Now select the Cache Cleaning tab. Select Deep Cleaning, check all three Caches to clean, and then click "Run." You'll probably be asked to verify which cleaning you want and say yes to all as they show up. You will be asked to Restart your computer, and you may be told something went wrong and you need to restart and run this process again.
FWIW, several weeks ago, I could not type an "en" dash "–" (Option-hyphen). Nothing happened. First, I called my keyboard manufacturer, and we determined that the keyboard was fine. Then I called Apple, and we determined that something was wrong with my OS and that I was going to have to reinstall my OS. On a whim, I thought I'd try Ventura Cache Cleaner, as it has helped me through issues before. I did the above, and it worked; I can type my en dashes now with no issue. [En dashes are used when typing ranges. So, if you say you eat 2–4 apples a day, you use an en dash, not 2-4 apples a day.
I CANNOT say that this will fix this issue. Actually, I doubt it, but it's worth a try (and I'm curious if it will work or not). At a minimum, it will only take a bit of your time.

Hi @Fireworks Design , @bohemiagirl
Can you try with giving Bridge all the required permission( on Ventura) as below:
Go to -> System Settings -> Privacy and Security.
Add Adobe Bridge 2023 to 4 of the items listed there:
1. Files and Folders,
2. Full Disk Access,
3. Accessibility
4. Input Monitoring.
Select each of these one at a time, and if you don't see Adobe Bridge 2023 in the list, Add by clicking on "+" sign.
Restart the computer.
Let us know if this solves your issue.
Regards,
Bridge Team
