Hi there,
Have you tried running Bridge natively on your M1 computer? You may try updating Bridge to version 11.1 through the Creative Cloud app and let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Sahil

Hi Sahil,
I've just updated Bridge to last version 11.1, but this version is not optimized for M1 SOOC like Photoshop and the other Apps of my Photography Plan. Here a screenshot of my Activity Monitor under macOS Big Sur 11.4:
Waiting for news on Bridge M1 Version.

The issue is how slow Bridge runs on an M1 Mac. As a photographer, working with thousands of images, moveing from an Intel to M1 MacMini the difference is stifling. Photoshop and LR run as fast or faster. Bridge is sluggish to the point I can't use it.

Its been more than 1 year that Apple released M1, and the Giant Adobe can't update Bridge? Or Adobe just don't care? Most likely) Meanwhile the same Adobe religiously take its share from bank account. I paid a full price for a half service. Great profit policy Adobe!

Bridge 2022 is out...you guess?
Correct, Intel-based app only.
Wow.

Nearly a year on from the OP, and Bridge is still incredibly slow.
Why can't Adobe see that it's still a vital tool for many photographers?

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your feedback.
Please try updating to ACR 14.3 release, that should fix the issue.
Let us know if you still face the same.
Thanks,
Bridge Team.

Hey Bridge Team, I tried installing ACR143.5 and it still doesn't work. Bridge is slow as ever. It takes 5 minutes to just open the application.
When is Adobe patching Bridge for M1?

Hey @Simone25874155j9b7 and @Alessandro DellaBitta please try the latest Beta Build of Bridge that offers native Apple silicon support: https://community.adobe.com/t5/bridge-discussions/an-update-for-the-adobe-bridge-beta-is-now-availab...

Bridge is also painfully absurdly laughably slow for me after updating to the latest high end macbook pro m1 max. Completely unusuable. Same issue on my girlfriend's new m1 computer. And it's been 5 months since we upgraded.
Please please please please please please please fix it. Work is so difficult without it.
We've been using Xnview that runs through rosetta which is blazingly fast, faster than any version of Bridge has ever run. Sadly its interface is clunky and confusing.
I'm not sure why it isn't an easy fix... Bridge is a glorified file browser optimised for photo. Unthinkable, bizarre, and deeply dissapointing that it hasn't been updated yet. Pleeeeeeaaaaaase!!!!

Thanks for reporting the issue.
On M1 systems, there are performance issues resported when using Bridge with assets having Display P3 and sRGB color profiles. This was tracked and a new ACR version has been released with the fix for this.
Could you please try updating to the latest ACR 14.3 release and loop back if you still see the slowness.
Thanks

Hi
It is very disappointing that there seems to be such delay in providing a natively operable version of Bridge that is compatible with the, now not so new!, Apple M1 chip?
Are you suggesting above, that Adobe Bridge should now run natively with the Apple M1 chip, rather than with Rosetta2 ? Or are you just referring to ACR?
I have a new Apple Laptop with the M1 processor, but as yet have not installed PhotoshopCC, Bridge and Lightroom to switch from my PC based Laptop system - patiently waiting for seamless operability of the Phography Plan components - PhotoshopCC, ACR, Bridge and Lightroom.
I do quite like using Bridge as a storage/filing tool rather than the faf of Importing and Exporting with the Lightroom Catalogue.
Kind regards
Geoffrey

Yes, I can confirm that updating ACR fixes bridge on my m1 Mac and on my partner's m1. Even though it still runs in Rosetta, it's fast enough (not as fast as xnview). I still think it's ridiculous that it took so insanely long to fix it. WTF. The amount of lost time and money wasted trying to work around this is incalculable.
Geoffrey, photoshop overall runs blazingly fast on the m1. I briefly tried Lightroom as an alternative to bridge and found that it ran quickly too; i gave up on it for the same reason you describe. Now that bridge is finally working, you should probably be good.

Hi Eric
Thank you for your note - I will try and give it a go.
(My new Apple Laptop is actually still unpacked in the box - waiting for me to explore)
Cheers

A year later now, still no native M1 support for Bridge. Thanks Adobe, for always being there.

And now we have the M2 and yet still no updated native Bridge app from adobe. Apple can release a new version of a physical chip faster than you can release a working native app for bridge. shame. i dont understand why bridge gets no love compared to LR. such a better product.

Did you see the pinned posts about the new Bridge beta? That's going to be M1-native.

Lumigraphics,
I do not believe it is. That will come, hopefully soon, but it's not this beta.
If you download the beta, do a Command-i and look; if it's native, it will give you the option to Open in Rosetta. If it's not native, it's already running in Rosetta.

I just got an M1 mini last week and got it setup over the weekend. The Bridge beta doesn't show for me in the CC App yet.
