Batch Rename Bridge 11.0.0.83 not working

I did a batch rename of some videos then Bridge crashed.

Restarted and did a batch rename of 22 images and it says it went through the motion but none of the images names are changed.

why is bridge, my favorite Adobe App now having problems?

Greetings all, sorry for the delay in response.

The files are where they have always been for the past 6 years using bridge, they are on an external drive.

never had issue before batch renaming, in fact, I have batch renamed 1200 images without a hitch.

Preferences were not touched...

I waited an hour and retried the batch rename and it worked.

NO i did not restart app or computer.  weirdest thing.

Very happy that things seem to be back to normal. what ever that is.

I'll bet it was trying to generate previews and couldn't do the rename until finished.  Mine is doing that at the moment.  Won't complete the batch rename until all the previews are generated.  It'll hang like that until either all the previews are done or I close it using the Windows Task Manager.
