Bridge 2023 : partial editing of a filename causes image to vanish from window

It appears that editing the filename of an image searched for by a partial match - even if the edit does not affect the partial search criterion - causes the image to disappear from the window.

This is disconcerting at first, but the image is not lost and pressing [Enter] on the search criterion causes it to reappear.

This has been a problem for a long time, Bridge can't keep track of files with changes like filename or editing in Photoshop.
