Bridge bad for video files?

Explorer ,
Jan 25, 2024 Jan 25, 2024

I'm struggling to use Bridge for our media library, I notice it's not great for video clips.

  • Playback and scrubbing speed is much slower than VLC
  • Preview playback control bar is very narrow
  • VLC detects framerate and resolution in Codec info, IPTC video info fields are empty in Bridge

Is there a way to get Bridge to auto detect the frame rate, bit depth and resolution?

Is there an app for browsing video libraries that is better than Bridge?

Regards, Peter

Bump! I have the same question. Is there a way to show under thumbnails info like resolution, duration and frame rate?

One more observation is that VLC has much worse scrubbing speed/accuracy than Quicktime Player -- so don't take VLC as a good example of scrubbing through video!
