Bridge CC 7.00.96 x64 not saving Favorites when closing and reopening

New Here ,
Jan 26, 2017 Jan 26, 2017

I am having a problem with Bridge not saving my favorites. I have updated Bridge via the Cloud but still it does not retain the latest Favorites I have added. I have also deleted my cache in Bridge.

I drag the folder from the content folder/palette to the Favorites palette and also try it with right click and add to Favorites, but neither will save. I have added to the Favorites palette in the past. Any clues?

Hi Timothym,

Please try resetting the preference of bridge: -

Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.

Regards,

Sahil

I am seeing this in Bridge CC 7.0.0.93 x64 (CC 2017). I deleted and recreated my Preferences, then re-added my folders to Favorites. No joy. It retains some, but not all of them. I tried re-naming my folders to no avail. Is there now a limit to how many favorites can be saved?

@andywainwright are the favorites on an internal drive? They will not be saved if it's an external drive. Once the drive is disconnected, the favorites will be deleted.

this is completely false. the favorites should not disappear because they are on an external or server drive. this has never been the behavior in any version i have worked with.

bridge 2023 will not show the favorites if the drive is not mounted when starting bridge. so the fix is to make sure your drive is mounted first before starting bridge and favorites will be there. bridge 2022 will keep the favorites saved regardless.

My external hardrive is mounted as it is where my images are saved, and I still can't see any of my favorites. It literally just deselected my favorites one by one. Anyone else have this issue?
