Guest

hello, im on Windows 7, Adobe Bridge CS5

first time i open the program so im trying to find the help files... couldn't imagine it would turn out to be that tricky

Help tells me to visit to the web site and the website has links for help files/documentation/user manual but all they contain are a few basic topics

where can i find the complete help files/documentation/user manual with the complete list of menu items and their purpose?

or to put it another way, lets say im trying to figure out what "File > Export to > Hard drive" does, find the location of the exported files etc

where am i supposed to read that information?

thank you

im not sure you understand, i 've already mentioned i went through those links but these are mostly guides for specific tasks

i can't find the full reference and i certainly did not find any description for the menu item im looking for

im looking for the full documentation, where is that?

i can't imagine you haven't seen one before but since you couldn't understand what im talking about, here is one:

3ds Max Help

that's 3ds Max's documentation, see how it contains guides but also a full glossary, the complete reference?

anything there is on that program, every menu, every function, you can find a description for it in its documentation

that's not something special, even open source programs come with chm help files, i only linked 3ds max's doc because it happens to be available online

I understand, however one can only work with with they know and or what is available. If you look into the various links, you will find links to other links and PDF files. You have to work for it, sometimes one can’t be spoon-fed and the process of searching for wanted info will often reward you for the effort. As I pointed out the PDF that was obtained from the other links that you dismissed is the closest thing to an “all encompassing help manual”, however some features were removed in later versions, which means that one has to dig a bit deeper and look for an earlier version of the same manual and even then, it may not be as exhaustive as what you are looking for.

If you do find such an “all encompassing help manual” it would undoubtedly be a great community service for you to come back and post the details in this topic.
