Bridge 14.0.2 is the worst EVER. It is painfully slow in seaching through files. I am very unproductive using this version. I had to go back to Br 12. Adobe needs to fix whatever is causing this problem FIRST. No other improvements should come before this matter.

Bob, what is your system spec? The newer app versions are definitely becoming more demanding of computer hardware.

I've branched your post from an unrelated thread in Photoshop to the Adobe Bridge forum.
Please answer the question from Trevor.

Thank you for that information, Bob. The info was not in this thread, but I found it in a separate thread that you started with the subject "Bridge 14.01 is still a real performance nightmare. S L O W".
I've merged your duplicate threads so we are not answering in multiple places. Please don't start yet another thread with the same issue; just use this one.

I haven't seen anything from Adobe properly updating or resolving or RESPONDING the performace problems brought up here with Bridge.
What gives?
I am back on 12.0.4 which still works for my needs.
Adobe please wake up!

Hey, Bob Sanderson! We're sorry for the trouble. I'll need more details to help you figure this out.
What version of the operating system are you using?
Does this happen when you open a specific file or tool in Bridge?
Could you please post a video recording of the issue?
Thanks,
Shivani

Thank you for contacting me.
I have installed and uninstalled Bridge 14.01 3 times. Each time I go back to 12.0.4 as the latest version that works well. I am a very experieced user having have PS since its third version. It is not a problem on my end as all my apps and programs are working very well including the Adobe Products I run except for 14.01. Only the latest Bridge is a dog that won't hunt!
Window 11 Home 23H2 - 22631.4037 - 64 bit
Intel i7-8700 3.2GHZ

Samsung Pro SSD 960 512 GB
18TB Hard Drive with 12 TB available
NVIDIA GeFOrce GTX 1070 with driver 32.0.15.6094
I currently don't have that version of bridge installed and don't want to go througth that again.I won't be providing you with a video.
Please accept it is very slow to openning and displaying files with more than about 100 images. Refreshing is very slow. It is unuseable to look rapidly through my images to sort/select the ones I want to use/move to another folder or to send PS or other programs I routinely use.
Many on this board have expressed similar issues. Surely you know that....and can contact them

I have tried uninstalling 13.0.2.63 and deleting all the preferrence then reintalling and checking the "Use Software Rendering" box. The program still crashed on previewing images. I then went back and tried the last 3 NVIDIA drivers which had been fine with the various versions of Bridge but that did not have any affect on the crashes.
This problem renders Bridge useless for me and sets me back in time. When can we expect a resolution?

I have a possible solution. My system is a Win 10 64bit Home (all the latest MS updates) w 32.0 GB RAM and a Ge Force GTX 1070 card. I rolled back the most current card drivers to NVIDIA 31.0.15.2756 from 12/5/2022. I then had the Adobe Tech use a removal tool to remove all Adobe products and then remove Adobe folders on my system ( I first put in a seperate folder my Bridge collections and plug ins). I then installed the latest version of Bridge and then PS. The Adobe ecosystem has been stable for several days under heavy use and the image processor is launching and working as required. The Topaz Gigapixel plugin refuses to install properly but everything else is fine. Good luck guys and thanks for your ideas!
