Bridge workflow RESIZE not working

I am using Bridge workflow to resize a batch of images. I have entered all the settings in the right hand panel, and SAVED. But when I run the workflow it saves the images (in the new folder as specified) but does not reduce the file size. I am wanting to reduce the file size significantly so I have the SCALE IMAGE setting at 20%

I use tbhis at home on my Mac and it seems to work ok.  Not sure what I am doing wrong at my office on a PC

Hi, @Vivienne32536064otoc, can you please provide a screenshot of your Image Processor settings you used when you had this issue?

Also, for the record what OS versions we're talking about and what release of Bridge (and have you updated to the most recent version of Bridge)?

Thanks,

Hi Gary.

The issue only occurs on my office windows PC I have Bridge 14.0.0.102 which I think is pretty current.

This is such an awesome tool which works perfectly on my (very outdated home) MAC but at the office on my Windows based PC I cannot get the SCALE IMAGE option to work at all. I have tried changing the sampling methods but it just keeps saving the image at exactly the same size. I have also tried it at different percentages 20 - 50 - 80. The RESIZE TO option works ok, but when you have a mixture of portrait and landscape images it's not the ideal solution. The option of reducing the PIXELS also works. The thing I really want to use though is SCALE IMAGE and that's just got me stumped.
I have attached a screenshot of the workflow view
Thank you in advance for your suggestions
Happy regards.  Vivienne

Hi, @Vivienne32536064otoc, OK, I see in your Workflow NAME you want to reduce things to 20% but in the actual command, it's to 50%. I gather that was one of your tests.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this, and, since I'm on a Mac, I can't even reproduce your environment. Hopefully a PC person will pop up and offer some help, because I can't at this point.

Meanwhile, can you try and use Image Processor (from Tools -> Photoshop -> Image Processor) and see if that works. Obviously, there an issue where IP want a specific pixel limitation and doesn't take "%," but if the pixel number will be constant, you should be good. (Note that in IP, if you put the maximum pixel number in both height and width, whichever is larger will get the focus — it doesn't make square images :>)

Good luck
