Camera settings in raw defaults, available camera option is grayed out. Doesn't give me access to my camera (Canon EOS5) profiles. In available cameras diolog box says no raw images open in gray. Any idea how can I choose my camera settings either in Bridge or Camera Raw?

RAW files cannot open as JPEG. As in, not possible. Now, you may be shooting RAW + JPEG which would mean two files for each image you take. This could cause confusion. But file types don't just change, you have to save out as a new file.

Do you mean that this item on the list is greyed out in your preferences?

or somewhere else...

Can you post a screenshot and clarify which version of Bridge you are using as well as your OS?

Thanks!

Bridge 13.0.1.583

Ventura 13.2

Also, I am not sure, it is related to this or not, all my RAW files open up as JPEG in this version of Bridge

It's certainly not normal... But, yes it could be that. Did it used to work with a previous version? (If you had one)

Can you check you got your files associations correct?

Imaginerie_0-1672174424469.png

(it's in the general preferences)... Unless you got something specific you can to override, you can reset to default if in doubt.

Check the help files here
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/bridge/using/view-files-bridge.html

Under "change file type association"

Not necessarily related but you can check if you got the following option ticked in the general section of the main preferences:

And  just in case you used double click instead of right click> open in camera raw to open your raw files... Test both and see if they open as CRW files with either double click or right click like below.

Unfortunately, when I updated the Bridge to the latest version, it erased the old version. I uninstall the Bridge and reinstall a new copy without using default preferences. In this new copy, I have my camera profiles in the Camera Raw Profile. I am still missing the option of choosing your camera in Raw Defaults.

RAW files opening as JPEG is resolved, Lumigraphics is right, I wrongfully chosed both RAW+JPEG option in camera settings. I corrected that, and now it downloads as CR3 file. Also, manual download gives me CR3 files. The question still stays open why RAW+JPEG option downloads only JPEG?

I've never shot raw + JPG (I never saw the need), but I do know that on the camera card, there can be a number of folders containing images. I've seen situations where the images are placed in two folders that were shot on the same day.

You do not state that you use the Adobe Photo Downloader or what to move the images from your camera or camera card to your computer. The next time you take a few photos, please look at the card's contents in the Finder (or Explorer), and see if the JPGs are in one folder and the raw are in another — or if they are contained in the same folder. If they are in different folders, then you may need to experiment to see that you get ALL of the images.

Let me state that you are not wrong (many do it), but I am curious as to why you shoot both JPG and raw?

I usually don't shot RAW+JPEG, but camera just came back from tune up and at that time I mistakenly pressed RAW+JPEQ instead of just RAW.

I use photo downloader to download the files. That shows only one folder but I haven't checked with finder yet.

Bonjour, j'aime beaucoup vos remarques ! Pour ma part,  j'utilise à la prise de vues à la fois brut et JPG, car cerains navigateurs ne lisent pas les fichiers bruts. Ensuite généralement je ne conserve qu'une seule version suivant le genre d'image et son son utilité.
