Can't overwrite (Multiple values) in Bridge 2023 Mac OS with null value

Explorer ,

When selecting files with differing metadata, deleting the field doesn't change the actual tag. For example if photo1.jpg has the keyword "Dog" and photo2.jpg has the keyword "Cat", I can't select both and replace it with a null value. The metadata remains unchanged, and therefore (Multiple values) is still displayed. Previous versions of Bridge did this correctly, but the new version does not. Clicking the check box to apply metadata changed doesn't work, nor does hitting enter or just tabbing to a new field.

Are you using the Keywords panel or File Info? If I select File Info and delete keywords, it removes all keywords for all three files.

I'm using the Metadata panel, and this applies to all metadata that's different, not just Keywords (Title, Event, Description, etc.) Bridge 2022 worked using this method via the Metadata panel, not the new version. Using the File Info method is a little clunky

There are multiple ways to accomplish the same thing. I'm not seeing this issue in 2023 but I'm not using it in production so my testing is just small samples.

Ok in the Metadata panel, it looks like it won't accept a null value. If I assign a single character then delete that, it works.
