cannot open Bridge 2025

 I reently installed PS and Bridge 2025. Bridge will not open, When I try I get a message "Program quit because on an unknown error." I am running Sequoia 15.1.1. Sugestions?

You've already done Step 1 (install the latest Bridge).

Step 2 explains resetting preferences, Standard Workspaces, and Purging the Entire Thumbnail Cache.

Read through the entire procedure before embarking on this arduous task.

Hey @akoor!

Is this issue happening with other apps, or is it just Bridge? Have you never been able to open Bridge since installing it, or did it work fine in a previous version? Could you try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that resolves the problem?

I can solve the problem of Bridge not opening by using Task Manager, finding Bridge which task manager says is open, and closing in Task manager. Then I can open it by clicking on the app icon. Why does task manager say it is still opoen when I cant see it?

Windows I presume. Bridge is running as a background program when this happens, building thumbs and generating previews. It ought to stop of its own accord eventually but yes, you can force quit by ending the task using Task Manager.
